Obama’s Turn, the BDN, and Shadow’s Comments
For those of you who watch the news, president-elect Obama has recently been swarn in to office as president. He's already pushing for change. I hope he can start the engine that'll power the economy-fix machine. That, at the very least. I hate all the job losses. It's sad. We can hope, right?
The inauguration was watched around the world. I can't say if it's the first, because this is the first time I've payed attention other than saying f*ck you Bush, but the news made a huge deal out of it. I'm guessing everybody loves him. Or I hope they do. Otherwise, screw you. I'm not one of those hippies going all hypo-crazy over him, but I can see he's going to try to help us.
On a different note, Newt and Shadow are competing.
Both are senior members of Fynmark:
Newt's time goes all the way back to ol' proboards. He's continued to follow FM. Thanks, Newt. He is currently an administrator.
Shadow's time goes back to FM1. FM 1.0. Before the unpleasantries. He's joined from there-on after.
Both of them were given blogs, by me. bdnewt is Newt's. The SC, or thesc, is Shadow's.
They're competing for the better blog: More updates, better content, and more unique. I'm sorry to say I beat Newt and Shadow to that Cleverbot. I just never made an article. Too lazy. But Newt made the CB article first, link. Then, over 24 hours later, Shadow did, stating
" ... “cleverbot”, possibly the greatest internet AI outside of the military. "
He also questioned BDN. He's said a few words. Let the bash posts begin:
" If you looked at the fynmark homepage, theres a new link, to a place called “blog der newt”. Looks silly. And not appealing. "
I'm waiting to see what Newt says. You can stay updated on my posts by My RSS feed, Newt's RSS, and Shadow's RSS. You guys just came up with something interested. Make sure to stay updated on 'em, and let the games begin.
Election and Possible Fynmark Update
Well, longest time for an update.
As at least Americans should know, here in the USA we're electing a new president, and it's a great historical event. 1, 'cause it's the first black man to have come this far; 2, blueberry Bush is leaving the Whitehouse after creating havoc and a crysis here economy-wise. And 3, I know it but I can't think of the third reason... Sue me. So, McCain is the Ruplican candidate, and Obama the Democrat candidate. Personally, I'm wishing for Obama to win, and a small reason that does not influence my decision is that:
McCain is likely to die in office, due to his age and hospital familiarity, and then that inexperienced, biased, and whatever-else-you-can-think-of Sarah Palin will be in office *shudders*, and she'll very unfortunately become president... and probably end up acting just like Bush. That would suck. Badly. Now, I won't keep blabbering on about them, but as a last thing to say, McCain better not win.
Another update. I hope I can persuade somebody to try to make a Flash homepage for fYN... Just a simple pulsing standard-FM-blue to standard-FM-gray... with a button saying Home with little text underneath it saying (blog), then Forums, /Load, and maybe another link, all highlight in pale-blue circular shape when mouse hovers over it. If anybody would like to attempt it, I'd it, email: fynnun@fynmark.org.
That's all for now.
