Version 9 teaser
Tiny peak at version 9, an updated version of Slight Blue. Here's it in action:
The rest isn't completely solid yet, I'm having trouble with dates showing up after the first post, it just doesn't appear, goes straight to "by Tim." *cough* VD help?
But I'll soon be ready to roll this one out, get rid of this free theme, Lightword. Been staring at it way too long.

The dates don’t show up because the post was made on the same date as the one above it.
February 25th, 2010 - 00:11
No.
That’s not the reason.
@Tim Send me the files, I’ll take a look. Make sure the function for displaying the date is WITHIN the Loop.

Okay, Mr. Wordpress Expert.

Didn’t mean to sound rude. Technically we were both right, since Wordpress will only display the date for the first post if they were made on the same day, BUT that’s only if you’re using the_date to display the date. Anyway, I fixed it now, and I apologize for coming across as cocky and rude.

OK, thanks! I’ve sent it to you, with the email posted.

I sent you the fixed file.

I forgot to mention that I just used the date format you had in your preview. But if you want to use the one set in your admin panel, the following should do the trick.

Thanks! The dates work perfectly. But one question: after you added “-” on line 48, in the index file in the post div tag, the title of the posts no longer is in the correct font size or hover settings as set by the CSS file, under #post. Do I need to modify the #post code?
February 27th, 2010 - 13:53
Oh, I guess I shouldn’t have done that. You can remove the -post_ID()
I just added that because it’s good practice to give unique IDs to all of your posts, but it wouldn’t work if you were targeting that ID with the CSS.
